We have skin types and colours, concerns and goals, and some habits that are not – all of which the way our skin behaves, reacts or ages. And with endless treatment and skincare  out there, understanding and finding the right plan can be a little bit of a .


If you have mild skin or you’d like to feel more confident in your skin but you’re unsure where to start, a free personalised skin consultation with a specialist or nurse at sk:n can help you gain a deeper of your skin, and which and skincare programmes will get you to the best skin of your life.

What happens in the skin consultation


Our aim is to find out what you love and don’t love about your skin, if you have any particular skin  and what your skin goals are. We combine that information with a full skin examination and assessment, so we can create the right treatment and plan for you.


During your consultation, we’ll remove makeup or products from so we can fully your skin, the texture, thickness and colour which could indicate concerns such as acne or pigmentation. Your skin will also be examined under a skin scanner, which can indicate if your skin is healthy, dehydrated, oily, congested or has sun damage. We will take your before photos, so you can see your progress  your plan.


We’ll then your daily and monthly and treatment plan to get the best results for you and your skin. We may recommend a number of options including peels, microneedling or Hydrafacial, and to use at home.  on your goals or the of your skin concern, we will refer you to a doctor or specialist nurse. And if you are interested in injectables as a solution to the signs of ageing, we can also refer you to a doctor or nurse prescriber too.

Book a General skin analysis and consultation (mouse click the next webpage) skin consultation with a specialist nurse or . Ideal for those with mild to moderate skin concerns including mild acne, skin, open pores, pigmentation, dull skin and mild signs of ageing, or for those who are simply just unsure where to start. Your skin will be fully examined for a number of skin concerns, your skin goals will be assessed, and your personalised  plan will be recommended. If you have more pronounced skin concerns that require a doctor or , we may refer you, and can also refer you to a nurse prescriber or doctor for .


To secure an appointment, we will a deposit. Your credit or debit card details will be secured against your booking. For or Nurse consultations we take a fully refundable (subject to terms) of £25 and £50 for Doctor led consultations. Please refer to our for more information.


Your skin consultation lasts around minutes. This will allow the practitioner to fully assess your skin and your skin goals, your concerns and create a recommended plan.


The is completely free, but we do require a £25 deposit to secure your . You won’t be if you attend your appointment, or you cancel or move your appointment over 48 hours before your appointment in line with our cancellation policy.​


The cost of your treatment and/or plan will be confirmed during your consultation, but treatment can start from £59, on your clinic.


Your will be with one of our experienced nurses or practitioners with knowledge of the skin. Should you have a more severe skin concern, they can also refer you into a doctor or  if you need to see one. Please note these with a doctor or are  and do require a refundable* – please check the consultation price before booking. We can also refer you to a doctor or nurse prescriber for an  consultation if you are concerned about the signs of ageing. These consultations are free, but we do a refundable* £50 deposit to secure your . Please check our  for more information.


We will ask you to come makeup free, but feel free to bring some with you to put on after the consultation if you wish.


Our expert skin will ask a of questions which are to help them create the best plan of action to tackle your skin concern. For example:


You can wear makeup to your appointment, however, we recommend that you come makeup free so that we can spend the maximum amount of time your skin. We cannot fully your skin with makeup on as we need to assess the texture, thickness and colour which could indicate concerns such as acne or sensitivity.


Step 1 – We will have a chat with you about everything you don’t love about your skin, whether you have any particular concerns and what your goals are to help us create your plan.


Step 2 – Before photos will be taken, allowing us to track your throughout your treatment plan.


Step 3 – Your skin will be examined under a skin scanner * which will indicate if your skin is healthy, dehydrated, oily, congested, sun-damaged etc. Our practitioners will also touch your skin to allow us to assess the texture, thickness and sensitivity of your skin.


Step 4 – Our expert will create a personalised plan for you, which could both treatments and an at-home product regime. We may recommend several including peels, microneedling, laser treatment or Hydrafacial, and to use at home. If you have a more severe concern, such as cystic acne, we will refer you to a doctor. If you are interested in anti-ageing to boost your confidence, we can also refer you to a doctor or nurse prescriber.
